About the University of Plymouth
The University of Plymouth is a global university, one that has 80 partnerships in more than 30 countries, including China, the United States and Sri Lanka. And with its extensive partner college network across the south and west of England, it has a total of 13,000 off-campus students enrolled on Plymouth degrees.
It is the first post-1992 university to launch its own medical school. And It is the first university in the world to be awarded the Social Enterprise Mark – the only independent accreditation to highlight organizations who place people and planet alongside profit. Times Higher Education described it as one of the newly-emerging “modern global elite”. It is also one of the top 280 universities in the world, and are 37th in those aged under 50.
About the Program
Requirements and Certificates
Students from the School of Civil Engineering and Architecture, the School of Mechanical and Energy Engineering, and the School of Information Science and Engineering can apply for the “3 + 1” Program (three years at NIT and one year at University of Plymouth) or the “2 + 2” Program (two years at NIT and two years at University of Plymouth). Students will be awarded the Bachelors degrees and the diplomas of NIT after they successfully finish the undergraduate program. Students will also be awarded the certificates confirming their learning experience in the United Kingdom.
Students need to pay merely the registration fee to NIT as usual and the tuition (FYI: ￡12,250 for the academic year 2014-2015) to the University of Plymouth. And students have the opportunities to get 10% tuition discount from the University of Plymouth.
